After retiring from education, I traveled for years in a motorhome I called the Chuckwagon. I wrote humorous stories about those travels in a piece called "Chuckwagon Chuckles." The Chuckwagon is gone, but I still travel. I now share my thoughts in the "Chuckwagon Journal." New name, same author. I write about what I think of the places, people and things I see -- and I tell it like I see it. I hope you enjoy today's thoughts and will share them with others. Thanks for checking in.

I retired in 1991 after serving 30 years in education, first as a high school mathematics teacher and later as district mathematics coordinator. My wife and I now travel, dividing our time between New York, Colorado and Florida -- and any other location that catches our attention. I wrote for many years an education column for the local Schenectady Gazette, edited the New York State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development monthly newsletter, and retired while chief grant writer for the school district. When not writing, I occupy my time with travel, gardening, photography, golf, woodcarving and trying to set my friends straight on social issues, religion and politics -- usually without success.
